Fredrik Strand
Program leader for “Imaging and diagnosis of breast cancer using artificial intelligence”. Associate Professor of Radiology and Specialist in Imaging and Functional Medicine (X-ray) at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna.
“In studies we conducted as part of the program at MedTechLabs, the results are staggering. It turns out that our AI method is four times more effective in targeting MRI after negative mammography, with 64 cases detected per 1000 MRI scans compared to 16.5 cases per 1000 in the previous study we compared with.”
Fredrik Strand is active in Breast Radiology at Karolinska University Hospital. His research
research is about the use of artificial intelligence for radiologic screening and diagnosis of breast cancer in particular. In addition to his work as a doctor and researcher, Fredrik has a background as a civil engineer in technical physics and has experience as an entrepreneur in start-up companies.
